Your indictment of America, beginning with "Donald Trump didn’t just change America, he finally ripped the mask off and revealed what America truly is" is clear and brilliant.
I'm just the wrong age to be so powerfully confronted with the reality that America Blows Dead Goats. If I were older, I could confidently expect to die reasonably soon; If I were younger (and didn't have Long Covid Brain Fog) I could actually do something strong, as you urge.
You've always been one of the best observers of the political and social scene.
Oh wow, thanks Bill! This really encourages me to keep writing. I struggled over what to say or whether I should say anything but I'm actually on the fourth season of The Handmaid's Tale right now and that phrase just kept popping into my head. Cheers.
This sums up how I feel just about perfectly. So angry. So betrayed. So disillusioned. And I feel so hateful. But I know that trying to remain supportive is also important. Nothing to to right now but keep moving back and forth between these emotions. Right now, when I’m out and about, I try to smile at people I see and be kind and courteous more than ever. You just never know who it could help- even all the idiot people who voted maga are going to need to see compassion from the randos they meet, maybe it could save a life. I don’t know.
#Pocket-book(s) are “hurting”? That’s why we’ve all been #Orban’d, #Chris? No. We need to take a stand here now. We cannot tolerate, nor will this country stand without the removal of #Trump from office. Period. Now that our fellow “garbage in, garbage out” constituents get the message, as well as our semi-intact legal system, it’s time to act. C=> https://youtu.be/P27wY3t1p4w #Chris-Cuomo

Thanks for everything.
